How to take a screenshot or screen capture on a Barbie

One essential feature of modern smartphones is the ability to take screenshots, capturing an image of what is currently displayed on your HMD Barbie's screen.

Although there are apps for this function, you don’t need to install any additional ones, as it’s already built into the KaiOS 3.1 (USA only) operating system.

Taking a screenshot allows you to save a WhatsApp conversation, a Tinder message, an Instagram story, a Facebook photo, or a video frame directly to your HMD device's memory.

First method:

If you want to make a screenshot to your HMD Barbie you have to follow these simple steps:

Estimated time: 2 minutes.

1- First step:

First, go to the screen that you want to capture a screenshot of on your HMD Barbie, whether it's a web page, chat, or application.

2- Second step:

Simultaneously press the power key and the volume down key of your HMD Barbie.

At the beginning it may be difficult to press both buttons at the same time, usually the Barbie turns off or turns down the volume if you do not press both buttons at the same time, if after several attempts you find it too difficult you can try the option of capturing the screen without using the buttons described below.

3- Third step:

The captured image is automatically saved in the gallery of your mobile/cell phone HMD TA-1681.

You can find the image gallery on the home screen. It typically has a photo or instant photo icon. Depending on the software version installed, your image gallery application might be Google Photos. If that's the case, look for an icon resembling a four-pointed star made of paper, with each point in a different color.

4- Fourth step:

Open the image gallery, the images and photos will appear sorted by date, click on the capture that you just made on your Barbie, and you will be able to edit it, trim it or send it to your contacts or through your preferred social network.

If you cannot use the physical buttons of the HMD Barbie because they are broken or you do not want to use them because it is a problem for you to press both buttons at the same time to take the screenshot, there is an alternative so you can continue taking screenshots without the power and volume buttons that we tell you about below:

1- First step:

Go to the screen or application you want to capture the screen on your HMD.

2- Second step:

Display the quick access or settings bar of your HMD Barbie. To do this, slide your finger down from the top of the screen, the shortcuts to device settings will be displayed.

3- Third step:

Press the screenshot icon, if you don't see the icon, swipe down again to display the full panel.
If you can't see this icon, you may need to add it to the shortcuts panel.

4- Fourth step:

The captured image is automatically saved in the gallery of your HMD phone or tablet.

How to capture a full page in HMD Barbie?

To take a screenshot with scrolling on a web page, a WhatsApp conversation or any other application of your HMD Barbie take the screenshot with the method indicated above, when taking the screenshot the capture will appear and the screenshot menu for a few seconds at the bottom.

Before it disappears, click on the "Capture more" icon and an editing menu will appear where you can select up to what point on the screen you want to capture.

Once the screenshot is complete, it will be saved in the Barbie's image gallery, where you can edit and share it on social networks.
