How to read QR codes on a Gfen N37?

First of all, we must be clear that it is a QR code. QR codes are codes that contain information that can be read by a camera, QR codes are two-dimensional, that is, it is necessary for the Gfen N37 camera to read both the width and the height of the QR code and can contain more information than a barcode (one-dimensional).

1- First step:

To read QR codes on our Gfen N37 we will use the rear camera of the device and the pre-installed official application.

When you start the camera application of your N37 you will see an icon in the lower left part of the image captured by the camera like the one shown indicated by an arrow in the following image.

It is the Google Lens icon, click on this icon to continue.

3- Third step:

If this is the first time you are using Google Lens on your Gfen N37, a message will be displayed indicating that it is necessary to provide permissions to the application so that it can access the camera.

4- Fourth step:

At this point we can choose if we want to grant permission to the device's camera only when the Google Lens application is in use, ask each time it is opened or not allow.

We must choose one of the first two options to be able to read QR codes on our Gfen N37, once an option is selected, press the back button to return to the Google Lens application.

5- Fifth step:

From the Google Lens application of the Gfen N37, we make sure that we are using the rear camera and point it at the QR code that we want to read, trying to make it appear correctly focused and contained within the square or at least within the display space, that is, not we can get the camera too close to prevent the code from being cut off or blurred.

The QR code must be fully visible on the Gfen N37 screen, the code does not have a top or bottom, so it does not matter from which angle we approach it.

6- Sixth step:

When the QR code has been read, a notification will appear and offer us an action to perform, most QR codes contain a web address, so it will offer us to open the web browser that we have defined by default in our Gfen N37.

Click on the notification or on the magnifying glass to open the web page or execute the QR code action.

If you have the Google search engine widget on the home screen of your Gfen N37, press the camera icon that appears to the right of the search box, you can also search for the Google Lens application if you have it installed.

2- Second step:

In the event that you do not have the Google widget on your home screen, open the Chrome browser or the Google application as you can see in the image below.

3- Third step:

Both from the Chrome internet browser and from the Google application we can press the camera icon that appears to the right of the search box.

The Google Lens app will open, from this point you can return to step 3 of this tutorial.

Through a third-party application

If the above methods are not available on your Gfen N37, it may be due to a different version of the operating system (N37 comes from the factory with the Android 4.2.2operating system), the customization layer provided by the manufacturer, or You just don't have Google Lens installed.

To do this, we unlock our N37 and slide a finger from the top edge of the screen down a few centimeters to display the quick panel in which the quick settings will appear such as connecting to a Wi-Fi network, connecting Bluetooth, mute, airplane mode, etc.
