How to update iPad

Keeping your iPad up to date is very important and useful for security, privacy and performance reasons. Apple releases updates frequently, some are minor updates and from time to time releases a major update with a software version change.

Step 1:

Within the general settings, on the right of the screen in second position we will see the section "Software update", this is the option we are looking for, in the event that we have any pending update, a red circle will appear on the right as in the picture. We press to continue.
Step 4:
If there is a pending update to download on your iPad, the text "Download and install" or simply "Install" will appear. Click to continue.
Step 5:
Enter the iPad unlock code if necessary, we enter it to confirm the installation of the software update.
Step 6:
The download of the update may take several minutes or hours depending on the connection speed and the availability of Apple servers, if there are a large number of users downloading an update it may be slower.
We can continue using our iPad while the update is downloading and it will ask us for confirmation before continuing with the installation.
Step 7:
In the case of a major update, a text of terms and conditions may appear to accept.
We can choose to have it emailed to us to read later or read at this time. If you agree with the conditions click "Agree". If you do not accept the conditions, you will not be able to update the iPad software.
Step 8:
A second confirmation notice to accept the terms and conditions will appear, if we agree, click "Agree".
Step 9:
The iPad will verify the update for safety and begin the download. The update download process may take several minutes and we recommend keeping the iPad connected to the charger and power to avoid draining the battery in the middle of the process.
Step 10:
Click on "Install now" to begin installing the software update for your iPad.
